| Past Events Jusa Has Done |
| Ennichi: This
fall event is filled with food and entertainment.
In the style of a matsuri festival there are
tables of food and booths to participate in fun
games and activities. Last years event featured
takoyaki (fried octopus in batter) and kingyo
sukui (fishing for goldfish). |
| Sushi Nites (one
per semester): These are always a popular event.
Just like it sounds, Jusa members prepare all
kinds of scrumptious sushi for eventgoers to
devour. You can come get all the sushi you want,
and get there early to avoid the line for Cali
rolls. |
| Lecture: In the spring
Government Professor Peter Katzenstein gave an
informative lecture on the political and economic
crisis in Japan in the '90s. His lecture was
excellent and everyone who attended left with
more knowledge than they came with. |
| Japan Food Fest (JFF): This was
a huge hit last year. Jusa partnered with the
Japanese Graduate Students Association to put on
a great night of Japanese food ranging from curry
to yakitori (fried chicken skewers) to oden
(soup). |
| Informal Member Events: Whenever
schoolwork gets too overwhelming a good relaxing
break can be all you need to refocus. What do
Jusa members do to kick back? Last year's events
included bowling nights, apple picking, ski trip,
and don't forget the kickin' Jusa parties. Hang
out with your Jusa friends and beat the stress of
exams and papers. |
